My work focuses on themes that make the viewer feel at peace and ponder about life. To communicate my message, I combine simple forms inspired by the human body, nature, and medicine primarily through digital means or painting on canvas or wood. Much of my recent work focuses on female health, body issues, chronic pain and mortality. Portraying the contrast between pain and healing is a consistent element in my work.

Although Pittsburgh blood runs through my veins, I now call Nashville my home, and have returned to my new home three times since 1995. Upon returning to Nashville for the third time, I finally ventured out into the local art scene and found many outlets for sharing my work, from artist-run groups to galleries. Volunteering my time with arts organizations has enabled me to enjoy helping other artists while learning to appreciate the community of supportive artists in this city.
